Sabre is a lovely 10 year old boy looking for a new home due to a change in his owner's circumstances. Sabre is a friendly dog who greeted our volunteer by nudging them for a fuss and dropped his ball at their feet to play. This gentle boy also took treats very nicely. He knows basic commands such as sit, paw, wait etc... and is eager to please, especially if there is food involved !
Sabre is good with children and has lived with a small dog before. He has never lived wih cats or other small furries but doesn't seem to have a prey drive. He's very good in the home. Sabre is not too keen on the vets and can get startled.
Our volunteer took him for a walk and he was well behaved. He can be a little excitable but responds well to commands and walks OK on the lead with a harness on. Sabre has good recall, unless there's water in sight. He is a real water baby and enjoys swimming.
This older boy has a lot of love to give and is looking for his new best friend for life- someone to cuddle him and play ball with him.
