Sabre is a GSD who likes to think he rules the roost and often dictates behaviour towards visitors etc. When our assessor arrived he was locked away, he requested the dog be allowed in the room, a lot of barking but after being ignored took himself off and didn't cause any further problems. Outside our assessor tried to push all his buttons to see what behaviour the dog was capable of, he didn't put a foot wrong and was happy to sit, give paw etc. Therefore we think Sabre would be best placed in an experienced home where they know how to set boundaries and give a dog a good routine and exercise. Sabre has good recall unless distracted. Not too friendly with other dogs and not one for cats either. In the home he is happy around children (and well behaved) with an 8 and 13 year old. Sabre needs to find a home where some one to one training can commence, he is only 4 years old, still willing to learn and during our assessment a very good boy!
