This is the adorable Rufus, currently in foster with other GSDs. He is approx 7 months old and was taken into GSDR when his owner realised that he was growing too big and too fast! He was ordered from a website and delivered to her door. Poor Rufus was left with an inexperienced owner who has no idea what a GSD needs.
Rufus is a lovely puppy, very affectionate and loves to please. He definiately does still chew, he especially likes nice lino flooring in his fosterers conservatory and shoes - especially blue ones.
When he first arrived with his foster mum, he was a little wary of people but his waryness of strangers is improving daily and she can walk along the road with people passing without any barking although he does still sometimes bark at members of the household.
He responds very effectively to the firm word of NO. Rufus walks very well on a lead and harness and is good off lead. His foster mum just need to watch out for any other people wearing the same colour as herself as he thinks that it's her and wanders off with them.
This lovely young chap needs an active, experienced home who are committed to guiding and training him. Although initially he was a little nervous, he is coming out of himself now that he is in an experienced home with other dogs to learn from.
