Where to start... this young man is actually called Rudolf the 2nd and is sadly looking for a new home due to a change in his owners circumstances.
When the volunteer arrived Rudolf was on a lead held by the owner. With the help of a few treats he acceoted her into the home. He settled under the table whilst the forms were being filled out but when the volunteer went to offer him a treat he nipped her.
Rudolf is a very anxious dog and his owner is sadly feeding that anxiety which is making Rudolf worse. He needs an eaperienced adopter who can instil some confidence into this lovely boy. Sadly Rudolf at present feels that he needs to protect everything and everyonwe which is making for an unhappy confused boy.
In the home Rudolf is wary of strangers, sadly his owner is quite nervy around him which in turn is making Rudolf worse. Out od the home again the owner will hold the lead short and tight if people pass which is giving Rudolf the wrong signals. Off lead he loves to play ball and was very well behaved not taking any notice of traffic or any other noises.
He cannot be rehomed with children or cats. Rudolf needs to be the only dog in the home with an experienced calm confident handler willing to put in lots of work. He really does deserve to learn how to be a dog and enjoy his life.
