What a little cracker we have in 5 year old Ruby an excitable jumping bean who greeted our volunteer with a super friendly response but she did take a while to settle and stop vying for attention. Sadly Ruby hasnt been out for a few months and has turned into a house dog who happily plays in the garden and zooms around with the other dog but because of this confinement Ruby has forgotten how to walk on a collar and lead. When our volunteer tried Ruby was spinning and jumping around trying to escape the lead, there is no aggression just an impulse to pull away. Ruby is a clever girl and with a patient owner it shouldnt take long to a) get Ruby in a secure field and let her run off steam and b) start lead training.
She really is a lovely uber friendly girl who just needs more time and attention paid to her and put her brain to good use instead of just amusing herself running around the garden or chasing her doggie pal.
If you have the time and experience to help Ruby and your home check is in place, please contact your Area Co Ordinator for further details.
