This is the beautiful Roxy.
Roxy is around 18 months old. She has been moved around and is now on her fourth home and again she finds herself looking for her next home.
This needs to be an experienced home as she has been passed around due to her lovely nature without much understanding of the breed. She must be the only animal in the household. She needs attention and time. She is extremely nervous out of the house and even having her lead put on in the home makes her nervous and she shuts down. Her next home needs to be her last as this young dog can not continue to be passed from pillar to post. Yes she is stunning and exactly what people look for in a shepherd, but what’s paramount here is helping overcome her extreme anxiety, building trust in her new home and family. This will take experience and patience.
This is a dog who in the house is a total sweet heart. Typical pup who wants to play, keen to please. She loves a cuddle and fuss.
She has unfortunately not had ANY socialisation. Outside of the house she is very nervous and panics if she is in sight of any other dog. She becomes vocal and hard to control, lunging and pulling to get away from the dog. On assessment she quickly calmed down but restarted again as soon as she saw another dog.
She has not been to the vets with her current owner, so this is an unknown but due to her behaviour out of the house I suspect this will be a challenge for her.
If you feel you are equipped to help Roxy then please get in touch and we can discuss further, several meets is an option to enable Roxy to get to know her new family.
