Roxy-Sleaford

Meet Roxy who is around 3-4 years old.

Roxy hasn’t had a great start to life. She used to belong to travellers and lived underneath the caravan. Roxy and a 6 month old terrier ended up in a pound.

Roxy has now been signed over to GSDR and is currently in kennels. She has been walked by our volunteers.

Roxy is a passive nervous girl (not reactive) and is quite strong on a lead, she has probably never had the relevant training, as she is a sniffer it slows her down.

Roxy is a bundle of cuddles, a real people person, but she is nervous with sudden movements which suggests she may have been abused in the past. Roxy has a sit and down command and takes treats gently without snatching. Her teeth are in amazing condition.

Roxy is traffic aware but is not reactive, she ignored a barking dog behind a garden bush.

Due to not knowing Roxy’s history and because she is slightly nervous now (to be expected), we are looking for a child free home. We have not tested Roxy with other dogs yet, so probably best a pet free home – a definite no to living with a cat.
