Roxy is a very small Caucasian Shepherd who is 2 yrs old and not spayed. She is about the size of a collie.
Roxy came in with another Caucasian called Rocco and we arranged to get them into kennels as soon as we discovered that they had been kept in a cellar for 2 years with little exercise or time outside. It was only when the council threatened to evict the owner if the dogs were not removed from the premises, that we were contacted.
Roxy has lived with children but we think an adult only home or one with older children would be best because of the terrible time he has had this last 2 years. Both dogs were in very poor condition when they arrived.
Roxy is generally OK with other dogs but we don't know about cats. She could live with another large dog preferably male or as an only dog.
Roxy has shown slight food possession which is not surprising given that Rocco was bullying her over food.
She is very nervous when meeting people as she has been kept in the cellar so has not had contact with many people.
We normally only put Caucasians in rural homes but Roxy has lived in suburbia so we will rehome to a sensible experienced owner.
Poor Roxy now deserves a nice home where she will get the attention and exercise that she deserves along with proper feeding.
Can you give Roxy what she needs, build her confidence and help restore her trust in people? You won't be disappointed.
Poor Roxy has been very badly neglected.
