CLASSIC ROLO
Here is Rolo : a classic german shepherd with no issues. He being rehomed through no fault of his own.
Really. I do mean just this!
Rolo's owner has to work away and he feels that his boy deserves a better life than he would have, if he were to remain in his present home. His wife alone cannot give him the attention and care that he needs and is accustomed to receiving.
Rolo currently has no issues. He is good with children and other dogs but he is big and bouncy and enthusiastic with both. He would be best in a household with older children who could withstand his joyful bounciness. He could possibly do with refining his social skills with other dogs. His owner says that he 'becomes deaf' when he sees other dogs at a distance. He simply wants to gallop off and play.
Rolo has all the basic training in place and walks well with good recall (as long as he has no distractions) His prime carer is a man and I suspect that Rolo will relate in disciplinary terms better to a man than a woman. An experienced female owner would easily be able to cope with this, but it is worth noting that big buoyant boys do not just stay that way. Leadership needs reinforcement and discipline needs to be ongoing. There is no remedial work required with this beautiful boy but any potential owner will have to live up to the privilege of owning such a dog.
