Rocky is an 8 year old black and tan short haired entire boy who has spent the majority of his life in a garden with a comfortable kennel, but is allowed in the hallway of the home when the weather is really bad.
His owner states that he is great with children of all ages, he is good with other dogs although he hasn't lived with one, has a good recall and is said to be house trained .
He is a definite no to cats.
The volunteer was greeted nicely by Rocky. Her is a big lad, with a thick coat.
He pulls like a train on the lead but this could easily be worked on and some sort of head collar would make any walk much more enjoyable. Having said that he had impeccable manners when meeting other dogs.
Rocky loves to play ball. Any bedding would be destroyed as soon as seen !! The volunteer was able to handle Rocky and give him a good check over without cause for concern.
Rocky is lacking in most areas of his life. He is in need of human company. He would benefit from someone who is around most of the time and give him the basdc training that he needs.Rocky has lots to give and would make a fabulous addition to anyone willing to put in a little work.
He maybe 8 but that doesn't mean he should be overlooked, he has so much to give
