Lovely Riley is 5 years old and has lived with his present owner since he was a pup. There have never been any issues until recently when Riley was poorly and for whatever reason he went for the son. This has happened a couple of times since and the owners feel that they can no longer cope with the situation and Riley is separated from the son.
Riley is said to be unknown around dogs and cats but when out with the volunteer they passed some dogs with some interest from Riley but no reaction. Riley isn't keen on entire malkes and is said to be better with females. He weaves a lot on the lead and sniffs EVERY post. He does walk better for the dad over the mum.
The volunteer felt that Riley is a lovely friendly boy who will excel in the right home. He likes tpo play tug but likes to win, not that good at releasing. Having said that there is no aggression and the volunteer could happily put her hands all over him and in his mouth.
We wouold prefer Riley to be rehomed into an adult only home or with older GSD savvy teenagers. With some work Riley will excel. He will not be the perfect pup on day one but if you are willing to put in some effort he will soon become perfect
