Reggie is a GSD/Husky cross that is looking to be re homed due to his strong willed ways around the family, although for the eldest son in the property he is very responsive. Unfortunately the son is leaving home and the remainder of the family just don't have the experience to keep Reggie under control. Our assessor was greeted by a barking boy who was kept on the lead, once released he was jumping and growling around "the stranger" and no one in the house had the command to get Reggie to settle. Eventually Reggie decided he would sit on the settee and grumble if our assessor made a move. The family obviously love Reggie very much but in our opinion he is a dominant boy who will need an experienced owner and someone who can take charge and teach this boy some manners. Outside he is never allowed off the lead and tends to do most of his walks on the road, if he sees another dog he tends to want to jump on them but again never really been socialised so this would be another area to concentrate on. All in all Reggie is a strong willed dog who likes his own way, he obviously adores the family he lives with but it is his way or no way. Because of his nature we would not recommend Reggie being re homed with children. Reggie is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
