REHOMED - October 2018
This gorgeous girl has not had a good start in life. She was rehomed by her current owner, as her previous one could not cope. At six months she was not even housetrained, which probably says more about the owner than the dog! Her current owner has managed to rectify this and instill basic manners. But Raven has missed out on the early puppy training that establishes the relationship between dog and owner. It is fair to say that she will be a 'work in progress' for some time. However she is young enough to change and to have a long and happy life as a well trained and loyal family member.
Sadly this cannot be in her present home. She lives with other male dogs, which is proving to be an impossible situation for her. She is as yet too young to spay and it is not difficult to envisage circumstances when this might prove problematical, even with neutered males.
Raven is undoubtedly gorgeous and has endless potential. However, she will need an owner who is prepared to work on her training further to establish this. She would probably be best as an only dog , until she has been spayed and she gains more confidence. She engages in fight with the other dogs, but this could stem from defensiveness rather than straightforward aggression. On the other she could be attempting to establish her dominance. We do not have sufficient information to establish which this might be. Whatever the reason, she does not need this pattern of behaviour to become entrenched. Sadly she needs out.
Have you a Raven shaped hole in your life?
