Meet the very handsome and regal gent called Prince. Prince was a stray and ended up in the pound, if it wasn't for our volunteer knowing he was in the pound then without a doubt he would not be alive today.
Prince was very neglected, worse case of fleas I have ever seen and apparently he had been treated prior to us picking him up. He was skin and bone, his skin was very sore due to the long term effect of not being treated for fleas.
The very sad news is that also his top row of teeth are missing, his canine teeth have been filed down to an even line and one is exposed to the pulp.
He is such an amazing loving boy, he wraps himself around you and clings on, don't think he has experienced kindness or love for a very long time.
We are looking at raising funds to get some further treatment for Prince, as he needs several teeth removing and a scale and polish.
Prince has a little strange side to him although this may be relating to pain in his mouth but when off lead he has a tendency to grab hold of things, this can include your arm, although he does not bite. Because of this we are looking for a very experienced foster home as we need to assess Prince out of the kennel environment and try and understand what is causing this behaviour and work towards helping him.
