This lovely lady arrived at our kennels a couple of weeks ago. At 7 years old she is sadly looking for a new home as her owner could no longer look after her.
Poppy is a very sweet girl but is quite nervous .
Her whole world has been turned upside down but we are sure with a little patience she will come round. The gentleman that kindly looked after her whilst waiting for a kennel to become available says that she loves her walks and loves to play ball.
She was taken into town by the kennels and they felt all was going well, she was walking nicley and not reacting to anything UNTIL a small gobby dog came from nowhere and she became the incredible hulk pulling on the lead. The volunteer was unsure whether hse just wanted to say hello or eat the dog but this is something that we are working on and hopefully she will calm down in time
At her age we really wold like to find her a lovely home so if you have some strength in your arms to work on her heel work Poppy will be the dog for you
