PHOENIX - KENT

Back in September we were assessed to assess Phoenix. On arrival at the home he was locked put in the garden so the volunteer never got to meet him. We were advised that he needed to be out the following day as the owners were moving and could not take the dog with them.

The volunteer was concerned about the condition of Phoenis and after a conversation and going begging to a small kennels in Kent, they agreed to take him for us.

He has not been easy as very untrusting but thanks to the wonderful staff who have been patient with him he has done full circle. He loves his cuddles now where as at the beginning he would growl and snarl.

Initially he was walked on his own but now he goes out with the older dogs. He struggles with the younger dogs as he has no idea how to play and doesn't seem to understand when they have had enough. Loves going out on a lead for walks and almost trots like a dressage pony.

Phoenix really deserves someone willing to give him a wonderful calm quiet home where he can overcome his traumas and go onto live his best life. He will need time and patience to trust but once he feels comfortable he will be your best friend for life.

His coat and ears on arrival were in a terrible condition. He has been to the vets and his coat is much better. His ears are a work in progress and although better than they were still need some TLC.

He will need a few initial visits to the kennels to build a bond but it will be worth the time given to have this gorgeous boy in your life
