PERFECT PADDINGTON  Update April 2018 - has now found a home.

You might think that I chose this title for the alliteration. No - you would be wrong! I thought carefully about it and questioned myself as to whether I could actually fault this little (big) boy. The nearest thing to an issue is that he is nervous of the machinery needed to sustain the lives of family members.

This is the reason that he is available for adoption. He lives with an owner who has two mortally ill children and she is only rehoming him because of these tragic circumstances. Paddy would be an asset to any home. I really do mean that he is perfect.

Our assessor fell for him completely. He currently lives with an older bitch, and she has no doubt disciplined him into the sweet mannered boy that he is. Our assessor says that he is gentle taking treats only with his lips. He is intelligent and eager to learn and she taught him a new concept within minutes. He is lively, as you would expect from a pup, but he is very very gentle with a one year old niece. He is good with all dogs from toy breeds to a St Bernard and he even ignores cats that come into 'his' garden. You see, I told you he is perfect.

Paddy walks well on a halti, although he does tend to pull on a flat collar. And his owner says that his recall is perfect. Our assessor thought that he would make an excellent competition dog. He would be unbeatable in the non-collie agility classes and would love fly ball.

If you are looking for either a gentle loving companion or a competition dog, then Paddy could be the boy.

The only thing is, can you live up to 'perfect'?
