Young Max was handed into the rescue when he was only 10 months old as he had HD and trhe owners couldn't afford the surgery..
He has seen a surgeon, had Xrays and a plan put in place. At present he doesn't need surgery and hopefully if we stick to the plan his muscles will get stronger and protect his hips. Should surgery been needed it will be under a vet in Buckinghamshire who has been seeing Max and the rescue will raise the funds to cover
Max needs a home.
He is great with other dogs but under the circumstances we feel as though he should be the only dog in the home. He can then enjoy playtime when out and about.
He is said to be ok with children but again we would only rehome with older kids who have an understanding of larger breeds.
Max does have one vice and that is resource guarding. This will need some work. If he deems something to be his then you will need to distract. him from what he has. It is certainly workable in the right home.
Max really is a lovely boy who in the right home will excel please can you offer this boy his forever home. He shouldn't be singled out just because he has a few problems.
