Oscar - West Yorks

This very big handsome bundle of love is Oscar. He's spent 5 of his 6 years as a guard dog in a compound. The day I stuck a lead on him and took him for a walk was the first time he'd passed the gates. He's really not cut out to be a guard dog, though he looks the part. He's gentle and loving when he knows and trusts you. He loves to play and his gorgeous wonky ear gives him a puppy look.

He’s been in kennels a few weeks and doesn’t react to any dogs. We've had him in the off lead and another dog in the next one and still no reaction. He walks lovely on the lead, obviously he’s not use to going out into the big wide world and can be a little unsure when people are coming towards him, so we just make sure there is enough space that we don’t put him under pressure and make it a positive experience.

We are led to believe that he’s previously spent/lived with another male dog. Not doing so well in kennels, so very keen to give this lovely gentle soul a home.
