Oscar is a beautiful 2-year-old castrated GSD and will make the perfect family pet. His owners love him to bits but their circumstances have changed which means he is being left alone for long periods and not getting enough exercise.
He got very excited when the volunteers arrived, he barked a lot and jumped up but very soon settled down and wanted fuss and attention.
In the house, he is well trained and was happy to eat his food whilst the volunteer was there.
He would be better in a home without very young children simply because he is big and bouncy and would knock little ones over.
Oscar does need some basic training and socialisation outside of the home. He needs a careful introduction to other dogs as he can be be a bit vocal.
He doesn't like cats.
Oscar will be a loyal and obedient companion for an experienced owner who is willing to put in a bit of time and effort with training and exercise him appropriately to burn off some of that energy.
