Oscar is a big handsome fluffy young man who is looking for a new home to call his own. He was living with an older owner who wasn't able to give him the time and training he needed.
Oscar can be selective with other dogs, but with careful introduction he could well live with another one. He prefers females and has a girlfriend at the kennels who he is particularly fond of! He's unknown with cats, so would be suited to a home without them.
He can be a little unsure of strangers at first, but once he gets to know you he is friendly and relaxed. He likes to play and be groomed by the kennel staff and has become a firm favourite with them. He went on a home visit with a member of staff and behaved well, playing with one of her dogs. One of our volunteers takes him out twice a week to various locations. He particularly likes travelling in the car to the local country park where, after a walk, he enjoys a drink and a toffee muffin! Oscar is growing in confidence day by day and his real character is emerging.
He is now ready for that special family who will give him the time and training he needs. He would be best suited to a family with GSD experience and a home with no children or older ones who know how to behave around a GSD. Oscar is a fantastic young man and will be a loyal and lifelong companion.
