Onai - Swindon

This super dog is Onai who is just a youngster of about a year old. Onai means wolf in Tamil.

Onai was found in Cyprus by an English lady out walking, he had been dumped with another shepherd dog. His pal who she named Mr Darcy was dying from an aggressive tumour and could not run any longer he had laid down in the long grass to die. Onai would not leave his side.

Onai is a very sensitive boy and also very affectionate. 

He is a Malinois so will need mental stimulation and lots of exercise but he handled the dog pound better than expected. 

He must have had a good owner as he has no fear of humans no aggression of any kind. 

He’s been very good with all volunteers including young teenagers.

He has not been exposed to a lot of traffic, cars rides and a home so all that is new to him. He rides well in the car and was exceptionally good at the vets.

Onai is a big softie

He loves puppies and is great with other dogs. He will “defend” himself by barking if a male dog comes up and wants to start an argument. They had one dog at the rescue where he came from taking a dislike in Onai and was provoking him at times.

Onai is a bit on the skinny side so needs proper feeding and a good exercise regime to build him up.

Onai needs a young active home where he will flourish. Can you offer him that?
