Sid is a young entire male looking for a new home due to a change in his previous owners' circumstances. This friendly and playful boy is very intelligent and has high energy so is looking for an active home with a confident handler who can meet his needs. Sid is young and has a very active mind so he needs to be mentally stimulated or he struggles to switch off. He is a little bit on the nervous side when out and about and tends to react to dogs and other distractions. This could be due to the fact that his first home was in a rural location and he was not exposed to much.
He is strong on the lead but is used to going out on a loose leash and will engage with his handler for food/treats if there are no close distractions. He already knows basic commands and will crave learning new things. He is food and ball driven so these can be used as training tools.
Sid is good in the home - he does guard but will quickly accept visitors. He's a typical GSD who likes to be close to his human and get some cuddles.
He is not aware of his size and can be boisterous and jump up so we would not rehome him with young children. He is also not keen on cats or other small animals.
Sid would be perfect for someone wanting to do some work (scent, search, agility etc) with their dog as he is from working lines. With regular exercise and training this lovely boy will thrive and make a perfect companion.
