Ted - North East

Meet Ted, a friendly and beautiful 18 month old GSD X Collie. Ted originally came from Ireland, where he was abandonned. When he was found, Ted was very underweight and his coat was matted. He was in such a poor state that his current owners took him in emergency foster 2 months ago.
Ted is now sadly looking for new home as he has turned out to be very reactive to traffic, and his owners live in a busy area and have taken Ted's training as far as they could.
Ted is a very loving dog who is brillant with people despite his poor start in life. He was very happy to welcome our volunteer in his home.
He knows basic commands and plays nicely with calm dogs, as long as they don't try to steal his toys ! He could live with another dog and possibly with a cat, but with slow introductions.
Ted is strong on the lead when walking around busy roads - he gets very nervous and will pull and lunge. This lovely boy would benefit from a home in a rural area where he can build up his exposure to traffic.  He needs someone who can help him with his confidence and pick up his training. Ted is very food and toy orientated so that's always a useful tool.
