Ron-South Lincolnshire

Meet Ron

Ron is a GSD/Cross Husky who is 1.

Poor Ron was rescued from a puppy mill at 13 weeks old by a lady who couldn’t continue with care. Ron has been with our fosterer since coming to the rescue last summer which has helped with his confidence. He knows his basic commands watch me, sit, wait, quiet, leave and stay. Ron is very intelligent and loyal and wants to be with you and for that reason gets a little upset when left but that is improving especially if left with chews. The longest he has been left is up to four hours.

The fosterer walks him on a Dogmatic and he walks lovely on a loose lead until something grabs his attention. He can be distracted by food.

He plays with the foster’s other dogs so he would happily live with another female and male.

Ron is housetrained and will let you know when he wants to go out by nudging his nose.

He can be boisterous so we wouldn’t rehome him where there are young children.

Ron does have an umbilical hernia which will need treatment in the future possibly when he is castrated.

We are looking for someone who can work on his socialisation. He used to be very nervous about meeting new people and dogs but since then he has improved. He needs someone who will take him out and about to enjoy life. He will need an experienced owner capable of firm sympathetic training. Ron would love a home with a large garden or space to play in with one or two doggy friends who will play with him.
