Rum - Norfolk

Rum - Norfolk

Where to start with this poor little man?

We believe Rum to be around 18 to 20 months old but in that short space of time he has seen more abuse than any creature should have to bear. Despite being utterly traumatised when he first came into foster care, with love and patience Rum’s confidence has grown immeasurably. Although Rum still remains a bit shy he is keen to learn and our foster carer believes he is more than capable of enjoying agility or obedience training. Even though Rum has suffered horrifically at the hands of man he will still approach strangers with his tail wagging and may even allow them to touch him.

Whilst in foster care Rum has been living with up to 6 dogs of varying ages and breeds and gets along famously with them all. Rum now walks very well on the lead but has yet to be let off to run free.

Rum is looking for his furever home that ideally already has another dog in residence, a canine mentor if you will. His new family will need to have not only endless patience and understanding but will also have to have previous experience with rescue dogs.

If this description fits you then please consider helping this poor soul by giving him the life he should have.

Rum when he was found

rum was found tied to a tree where he had been left to starve to death

Rum was found tied to a tree, left there to die of starvation. One of his ears had been cut by half previously as this was an old wound, probably during one of the regular punishments he received throughout his short but miserable life. Rum was shaking incontrolably of fear and shock when found by his rescuer
