Zak - Norfolk

Zak - Norfolk
This big bundle of fur and fun is Zak. He and his female pal, Xena, were found in a distressed and hungry state, thought to be abandoned on common land. Thankfully they were taken in by a very kind hearted family, although as they have dogs of their own, they are unable to keep them on a long term basis.

Zak has been checked by a vet, who estimated that he is 18 - 24 months old, although our assessor felt that he could be slightly older. He has behaved impeccably around all of the people he has been in contact with, but this has not included young children, so a family with older children would probably be better for him. Our assessor did try to check Zak but was unable to do this due to Zak wanting to play!!!

When he was found, Zak was in poor condition, his coat being in a bad state and severely matted. He was also underweight.

He and Xena are currently kept outside, and it is believed that he is not house trained. Our assessor states that Zak seemed to have a very even temperament, and a lot of energy. It is not known what commands, if any, he responds to, so a home with good GSD experience would be beneficial.

In an ideal world, Zak and Xena would be re-homed together, as there is a clear bond between them, but it is genuinely thought that in the right hands this lovely lad will really flourish into a dog to be proud of.

Could that be you ?
