Nelson and Wellington have been living 'home alone' since their owner died some time ago.
Whilst they are being visited regularly, they need a home to call their own, preferably together, although they will be separated if necessary.
Our volunteer found them both to be friendly and playful.
Nelson is a lovely & very loyal dog and would make an active person a great companion. He needs to be kept stimulated, but can be left on his own, and is very clean. He would suit someone who loves to walk or that works outside a lot. He always comes back on command and is very intelligent, both may need refreshing on a bit of training.
Both dogs are good with other animals and children.
Nelson had his tail docked as he kept chasing it & made it infected, he never does this when he is outside but if bored will now chase his leg.
Both dogs used to live with a cat, but the cat died about 4 years ago, so it is some time since they were with one, but I am sure they could be reintroduced to cats.
