Nell is a lively 9 year old spayed female looking for a new home. Nell has been in her current home for around 2 years. She lives with a small female dog but they no longer live harmoniously. Nell and her small housemate are now kept separately and this is causing issues within the home. Nell is starting to be upset by this and we are looking to find her a new family urgently
Nell has lived with a cat but does chase. She has also lived with children and is happy with them. Nell is happy with male dogs, including small ones, but will need controlled introduction.
Nell needs a confident and experienced owner. She lacks confidence herself and his makes her reactive when out of the house. The volunteer was able to walk Nell past several known triggers on a lead without significant reaction using command only.
Nell has strong GSD traits. She is protective of her family and the home. She requires control when greeting visitors to the property as she can be quite reactive. Once in the home and settled Nell presents no issue to visitors at all.
Nell does pull on the lead but not excessively. She tends to pull when she perceives threat outside of the home, but we feel confident this will improve with training. Nell is not being walked regularly as her current owner feels unable to manage her outside the home. The lack of stimulation is likely adding to the current picture and regular exercise should help a lot.
Nell is a lovely girl who wants love, attention and guidance. With the right owner she will gain confidence and become a wonderful family pet. Can you offer her what she needs? Nell needs a home urgently so please contact us if you've already passed a home check recently.
