NAHLA - WEST SUSSEX

Nahla is 6 years young and sadly looking for her foreverr home. She has sadly been pushed from pillar tpo post since losing her best friend. The family have tried there best to keep her but dsue to their circumstances it has become obvious that they need to find her a new best friend to spend the rest of her life with.

Nahla is currently with a family  who has 3 children, a cat, French bulldog & a busy family home to run. The family now appear to have left it all to her to get Nahla rehomed. The landlord, whilst happy for the Frenchy to be there, is not prepared to have Nahla.  They are looking after Nahla as best they can but having lost her another family member last year cannot keep her. Lots of family trauma here & it’s clearly having an effect on Nahla.

The volunteer said the following of Nahla:

Nahla barked (loudly) on my arrival. Once in the lounge, sniffed me & settled on the couch. She’s not particularly ‘treat’ orientated but did sit, give her paw & take them when offered. She looked healthy, & well cared for. She is taken on regular walks & loves the beach & water. While she’s not that interested with ‘playing ball’ she will follow any stone thrown in to the sea!

When out on a walk, Nahla does walk ahead & zig zags quite a bit but not excessive pulling. We came across another dog & whilst she did bark & fixated, she soon lost interest. She is very good off lead but this was untested by the volunteer.

Nahla is extremely well natured but has been quite traumatised by what she’s been through, I feel. She does bark a lot at anything that moves outside the home. It’s like she’s waiting for something else to cope with. She needs her forever home where she can settle & bond with her new owner & be able to chill and relax.  She’s a lovely lady & deserves the very best.

If you can offer Nahla her safe haven please get in touch, her situation is becoming urgent.....
