Meet Mitre, a lovely and playful 4 year old boy sadly looking for a new home due to a change in his owner's circumstances.
Mitre is a very friendly boy who was happy to see our volunteer and greeted them with kisses. He was so excited to make a new friend he jumped up and enjoyed taking treats. Mitre is a good boy in the home, he is crate trained and is used to being left for a few hours, although he can bark unless the radio is on. He also knows basic commands such as sit, down, in your bed etc.
Mitre has lived with young children and is very good around them, but he gets protective of his food if they get too close.
This stunning boy is a little bit on the nervous side when he is out and about. He tries to lunge at traffic and sometimes barks at people or other dogs. He would benefit from a confident owner who can help him build his confidence. Mitre gets a little overexcited when he sees dogs but doesn't show any signs of aggression – he just needs to work on his doggy etiquette.
Mitre is a beautiful and loving boy who will make a great addition to a lucky family.
