Update April 2018 - owner has re homed them to a family friend
Missy and Louie: a perfect pair!
Missy: North Lincs - Female age 3; black and tan, semi coated, not spayed
Louie: North Lincs - Male age 3; white, semi coated, neutered
This lovely pair have only come to us to be rehomed in the most tragic circumstances. Their owner is suffering a major health crisis and is devastated but she can no longer care for her dogs. She has had both from pups. They are a litter brother and sister and are a closely bonded pair.
Our assessor found the dogs to be friendly and amenable. They were quite confident to be walked away from their owner, although they were clearly unused to lead work. They usually run loose around lifestock for their exercise. However, they are willing and intelligent and our assessor felt that training to lead work would be an inconvenience rather than an issue. During the course of the walk at their assessment, there were other dogs barking in the distance, to which neither dog reacted. It was not possible to verify, however, that they are good with other dogs, but we have no reason to disbelieve this.
In personality both dogs were friendly and eager and inquisitive to meet visitors. They took treats gently and were described as 'loving and affectionate' by our assessor.
If you are looking for a bonded pair then you could not do better.
