If you have a quiet home with VERY few visitors and no children Rex will be your most loyal companion. He does not like strangers in his home, so should you have people to visit you would need a safe space for Rex to stay whilst they ae there as he can be unpredicatable. His last adopter said that as a companion he could not fault him he was amazing

This gorgeous boy came to the rescue after a phone call from a vet asking for our help as his owner had taken him to the vets to be PTS.
Rex needs a very special home. When you first meet Rex he is a very loving dog and on his bestest behaviour BUT he bonds very quickly and becomes fixated with one or 2 people and will guard them as his own. It will take time for him to settle and to trust.
Having been in kennels for over a year he needs to be introduced to the home environment very slowly. He would need his boundaries set on day one and he would need routine and consistency.
Rex needs a very quiet footprint of a home in a lovely rural location, somewhere that doesn't have many if any visitors as he is extremely wary of strangers. He would need a confident handler who has good experience of the breed. Rex is not a dog for the first adopters of a GSD as some of his issues are quite complex.
Rex could live happily with another dog
Rex is an obedient dog so has definitely had some training but he will need plenty more training to get him out of the bad habits that he learnt in his first home....... If you think you can help please get in touch he really doesn't like kennels very much
