Milo - East Yorks

Milo is a very affectionate dog and loves to be cuddled. He plays very nice with my two dogs, all three of them will play tug of war and he loves to play with a ball when out on a walk.

Due to him not having much exposure to the outside world he is wary of other dogs when on and off lead, he will bark at anything he is not sure of. We are working on this and he's slowly having his confidence built. He is not very good on the lead, will pull and walk where he wants to go.... so he is wearing a Halti in the house, 10 minutes at a time. It is a slow process as he's not very keen.

When he arrived into foster he did have some food aggression issues, but slowly understanding that no one is going to tease him when he's eating and he now leaves food/treats when his asked to do so. He initially did snatch treats, but after being told “gently”, he is now getting the idea.

Milo is good at commands, sit, wait, stay, leave and his foster dad even taught him to roll over, he's is a quick learner.

He loves children, has never shown any aggression towards my grandson, or children outside of the home.

Milo will chase anything that moves quick, cars, bicycles, motorbikes…We are working on this too.

When we did let him off the lead, as long as there are no distractions around he will come back when called. He loves going in the car, bit car sick on longer journeys.

Milo is looking for a new mum and dad who have the time and knowledge to continue his education, oh and a doggie brother or sister who can show him the ropes.
