Miles - South Yorkshire

Miles is a young male looking for a new home as his owner's deteriorating health prevents them from meeting his needs.

Miles is 12 months old and is a nervous but bouncy dog who will need a committed new owner as he still has a lot to learn, although this is all due to his current circumstances.

He has not been out for a walk for several months and is receiving very little training so he has become a very frustrated and nervous dog. He is showing signs of stress – he is not aways clean in the home and is destructive when left alone. 

Miles is lovely with the people he knows and loves children, although he is quite bouncy so can accidentally knock small ones over.

Our volunteer went to meet him and Miles got very vocal but only out of anxiety. He settled eventually and sat for a treat. They went for a walk and Miles was strong on lead, barking at people and chasing fast moving vehicles. Again, this is because he has not been properly exercised or exposed to the outside world for months. He is still a puppy and these are crucial months in his young life. In the right hands and with the appropriate amount of exercise and training he can still be turned around.

Miles can be rehomed with another dog, preferably a bigger breed as he is too boisterous when he plays with smaller or older dogs.

This young dog is confused and bored and is desperate for an understanding family who can take the time to show him the ropes and help him grow into a confident and happy dog.
