MARSHIE - KENT

 Marshmallow known as Marshie for short is a 3 year old neutered boy who sadly needs a new home.

He is said to be good with children but as he can get rathyer excited we fell older children.

He has been attacked by other dogs in the p;ast and is quite submissive when around certain dogs, but again is very exciteable.

Wikth catys the only thing he wants to do is chase them, so we will be looking for a cat free home.

On arrival the volunteer found a boy who wanted to protect his property from visitors. He was imposing, inquisitive and a bit hyper. He showed no aggression but did jump up in his excitement, on your back rather than in your face. He felt a few more manners wouldn't go amiss but an experienced owner wouldn't be phased.

He took a whils to settle as he needed to know what was going on. Didn't demand play was just keen not to miss out on anything.

As they were getting ready for going out for a walk he got himself so over excited he nearly nipped the voluntreers hand but stoopped himself. Again calming him before going out would help. A little work in this area would certainly help him. OUt he is good on a lead and on a long line. He is interested in the smells rather than people, If he gets too close to someone he will bark  They saw a dog about 50m away and he was more interested than reactive.

In Summary..... a stunning boy who has had a good start in life. He is much loved, well exercised and reasonably well socialised. He has over bonded with the female owner as she allows him to get away with d]=far too much. Marshie does love other dogs but if challenged with submit. He needs more spaced to be off lead, learn his recall and have some boundaries set.
