Lyra - North East

Lyra is a 2 year old girl who is being rehomed due to issues with the resident dog in her current home.

 

Lyra is naturally obedient and knows but requires more development on her recall.  She is also reactive to other dogs, particularly whilst she is on-lead.  

 

Lyra plays nicely off-lead with dogs that she knows, though this must be in an enclosed area as her recall needs further work.  Lyra is reactive to visitors to the home and will bark and lunge, but settles quickly and will let you know with her tongue when you have been accepted and trusted.  She is very fond of food and treats, which helps!  Lyra loves to play and to have a job, and whilst not a natural lap-dog, bonds with people well given time and space.    With proper introduction, Lyra plays with children with no issues.  

 

Lyra needs a home where the owner is around for the majority of time and is committed to her continued development.  She will reward the right owner with her commitment and progress.Due to her energy and unwillingness to share her home with another dog, Lyra needs to be the only dog in the home.

 

Lyra is a bright, eager and very special young girl with a lot to give who needs the right home experienced with malinois breeds who can give her the time and 1 to 1 training and support that she needs.
