LUNA - IOW

Luna is nearly around 15 months old and now looking for her 4th and final home. A black and tan short haired girl who is still too young to have been spayed, A spay contract will be put in place.

Luna was not socialised as a youngster and will bark when she sees another dog, once introduced she wants to play but can be a little over the top. She gets very excited very quickly . She is a definite NO to cats but could live with children who are GSD savvy over the age of 10 years.

Luna does still mouth when she gets excited, The volunteer found a very excited young lady when he arrived, she was jumping up to get attention but calmed down with correct handling.

At present she is is not left for any length of timre but is kept on a lead as she seems to do what she wants to do. She is a ypouthful young lady with few manners. Having said that the voluntyeer doesn't think it will take that much work to bring her round. Setting boundaries and beoing consistent will be a good start. She loved the volunteer on site and was very well behaved, sadly her present owners have allowed her free rein and haven't put stratagies in place so she knows what is expected of her. A gentle but firm approach will set her on the right road.

Luna is not aggressive just bored. She has learnt some commands with her present owners and is slowly learning but would benefit from an experienced home that can offer her the mental and physical stimulation she so needs to become the best dog she can be.

She could live with another dog as long as the adopter is aware that she at present has no doggy ,manners so an older balanced dog who can teach her how to behave would be perfect. She would need to be separated and introduced slowly to any dog that she was going to live with.

Please don't overlook this young lady, she is still only a younghster who has hit puberty and all that comes with it. We believe that she is confused as no real boundaries have been put in place but we feel that she can easily be turned around with patience,  understanding and proper stimulation.

If you think you can offer this young lady her forever home please get in touch
