Luna is a gorgeous 14 month old girl looking for a new home with an experienced GSD owner. Her owner's ill health is sadly preventig them from giving Luna the time and attention that she needs.
Luna is a lovely girl who has not received much training and is currently not getting walked very often, so she is behaving like a very hyper and nervous young lady. Our volunteer went to her house and she was very vocal and jumping up. She was unsure of them at first but with time and treats calmed down and was happy to make a new friend. Once she knows you, she is an overly friendly and needy dog with no boundaries - she barks and playfully mouths for attention. She has basically never got out of her puppy phase.
Luna cannot be rehomed with young children as she is too boisterous. She currently lives with a cat, but will chase other cats in her garden so careful introductions will be a must.
When out on a walk, Luna is very excited at first but we were told she does settle down. Her new owner will have to work on her recall.
She has some doggy friends she likes to play with but has not had many interactions with new dogs so she could possibly live with a well balanced dog pending the meet goes well. However, she will need some 1 to 1 time with her new owner as she needs to catch up on her training. She is a sweet girl who is eager to please but she has no idea how to yet. She would love someone to spend plenty of time with her, showing her what's expected of her. All her behaviour issues are because of the lack of attention and exercise and once her needs are met we know she will be a fantastic, loyal friend.
