Lovely Lucy is 5 years old and when her owner passed away she was put into kennels.She then stayed with a lady who had other dogs but sadly too many and she didn't have enough time to give Lucy what she needed.
We believe that Lucy led a very sheltered life and because of that she is scared of her own shadow. She will turn tail and run rather than be confronted. Having said that although still nervy she is building a bond slowely with the staff
Sadly everything in life is too scary. We feel that she would benefit from a home with another GSD who can give her confidence. Any adopter will need to understand her fear and give her plenty of space and time to settle. You will need to ignore her until she is ready to say hello. Everything will need to be at her pace.
Having said that she really doesn't deserve to be in kennels. She has the sweetest face. A quiet home with not too many comings and goings is what Lucy would like, with someone willing to give her the time and patience to help build her confidence.
