Meet our lovely Louie. He is very special to us all here in eastern region.
Louie has triumphed over the kind of adversity that no dog should ever have to endure. He was rescued from unspeakable conditions and was a pathetic neglected wreck who reduced our assessor to tears. Fortunately we his wonderful current foster Mum & Dad agreed to take him in as a dire emergency from the filth and excrement of his previous "home". They have lovingly nursed him back to health until he was ready for his furever home. !
All of the above would have been enough in itself to make him a favourite amongst us, but unbelievably none of this has affected Louie's sweet and loving nature. Despite all that has happened to him Louie does not have a bad bone in his body. He loves nothing more than to snuggle and give sloppy kisses, and having a belly rub is one of his favourite pastimes!
Sadly, he does retain a few habits from his previous life. He can chase the family cat, although he is friendly until she teases him by running. Of course he was never walked, so has no manners on a lead and does pull. He is now well enough to start some serious training and attend classes, so this issue is being worked on.
Louie is a unique boy, and we are looking for a special home for this wonderful lad.
