Loui has just celebrated his first birthday and sadly finds himself looking to be re homed as main carer/handler is now working away more and try as they might, Loui is very stressed when they are not around and even though he has company throughout the day he doesnt seem to take much notice of them and can be overwraught as he pines. Loui is very well trained and knows all the basics, he walks well on a taining halti and has good recall but he isnt often let off as other owners are frightened of the size of Loui around their smaller dogs (yet Loui lives with a Chihuhua)!
Our volunteer found a friendly dog on his assessment and could see Loui was getting more and more relaxed throughout his time at the home, outside Loui was good on his walk.
Loui is a caucasian shepherd and they do like space and to protect their pack but Loui seems to have bonded so much with one family member that his separation anxiety is upsetting everyone especially the carer who now has to work away more and more.
If you have the experience and space for this big bonny boy then please have a home check in place and contact your Area Co Ordinator for more details.
