Hi everyone, my name is Loki and I’m 7 months old. I haven’t had the best start in life as my first owner was very poorly and had to find me a new home when I was only 3½ months old. I spent a short holiday with a GSDR volunteer and they said I was a very good boy, I behaved very well and was good with their children and dogs.
So then I found a new home when I was 4 months old, but it’s not really working very well and my new owners can’t cope with me. I heard the GSDR volunteer who came to visit me and take me for a walk say that I was very reactive and she thinks it’s because I’m fear aggressive. Well I don’t like other dogs, they frighten me and I bark as loud as I can to try and chase them away and so have got into bad habits. I also suffer from separation anxiety and chew things when I’m left alone, so my owners try never to leave me, but I think this might have made me worse, because now I hate to be left and have even bent my cage door trying to get out once when they did leave me.
Because of my anxieties and lack of discipline I’m looking for a very special home with someone who will love me but teach me that life can be fun and I shouldn’t be frightened of other dogs and people. I’m still very young and very willing to learn and I do pick things up quickly – I heard the volunteer say that I was very intelligent, so I know I can be a good boy again with the right owners. On my own without anything that frightens me I’m very affectionate and the volunteer said I gave great licks – I did lick both her and her husband a lot – he he! ïŠ
