Rio came to us after he was taken to the vet to be PTS after he had bitten.
Rio overbonds and guards the female partner if somebody else comes close to them. He has bitten on several occasions some of them due to human error and not being strong enough with Rio.
Rio has been in kennels for some time. He is a friendly boy who loves a fuss and attention and looks forward to seeing our volunteers who walk him. He does pull on the lead so he will need to know how to heal walk. While out on a walk he doesn't react to other dogs and ignores cats. He focuses on the walker looking for reassurance that he is being good.
Rio has had his tail amputated after the vets determined it was broken because there was a kink in it.
We are looking for a quiet single person home where there are no children and dogs.
The adopter must be devoted and have strong leadership to bring the best out of Rio.
