Update: July 2018 - Leonie now has a home in the UK.
Poor Leonie was found roaming the streets with her brother. Both were captured and served time in a high kill shelter. Their lives were saved by brave volunteers who rescued them both and nursed them back to health.
Since then Leonie has lived in a 'pension'- a foster home. So, she is housetrained and knows the basics of good manners. She is very well known to her carers who are totally in love with her. They will be devastated to lose her but know that her best chance of life is to come to a forever home in the UK.
As you can see from her pictures, Leone is a sweet gentle playful girl. She has basic training and walks well on the lead. It is amazing how a dog who has experienced the kind of trauma that she has known can ever trust humans again. But she does. She would love to be offered a wonderful home here in the UK.
