Zeb - Lancashire

Zebedee (aka Jed) is a very energetic, uber friendly boy who sadly isnt getting much attenton at the moment due to family circumstances changing. Our volunteer was showered with kisses and it took a little while to wait for the calmness to follow whereby Jed was able to focus and sit nicely for treats. Outside  he is strong on the lead and will need further training as currently his walks now are spasmodic, hence his urgency to get out! Jed would suit a patient handler who can calmly set up daily routines and stimulate this clever boy. He currently lives with 2 dog savvy cats who definitely rule the roost, outside Jed will chase.

January Update: Now in kennels after a short stint in a home where they were overwhelmed by Jed's energy and outside reaction ie barking and lunging if folk got too close. Proving that he is desperate to bond and take charge of his new prize posessions (new owners). However they said in the home he is very loving and affectionate, an extremely clever boy who will surely blossom in the right forever home where they can contain his strength on the lead outside. Lets not forget this youngster has never had any direction in his short life, just coped with a busy family situation and enjoyed going round the block for a quick walk as and when.

A local dog trainer very kindly gave up his time to meet Jed and give his opinion  - very pleased to say he confirmed our own thoughts and was impressed with Jed's enthusiasm and and how easily he picked up commands. He said basically he is a clever pup in an older body, a blank canvas for the right household to bring on. No aggression just  pure joy and definitely eager to learn but will need an experienced handler to channel his energy.
