Laggan - North Yorks

Laggan is such a beautiful boy and the situation is sad, his mum needs several operations and has been told that it could be over a year until she has them, she isn't able to walk Laggan so relies on a dog walker that comes in three times a week. She is struggling to afford this and feels that Laggan is missing out on too much to stay with her. She is heartbroken, but wants the best for him.

Laggan is gorgeous, he loves people and is super friendly, he loves to play and despite him being a bit boisterous, he is really gentle with treats and toys. He is well-behaved, responds well to commands, clearly wants to please.

His only negative is his reactivity to dogs when out on a walk, but this is not aggressive reaction, it's more him not really knowing what to do, does he protect his owner (who is quite nervous), should he be scared of other dogs, does he have to try and bark to keep them away, or does he really just want to get into a position where he can go and play? In my opinion, he would love to have a playmate to give him a bit of confidence and to charge about with, having fun.

I would probably suggest he is rehomed with older children, purely because he is untried with younger ones. I don't think there would be an issue, apart from him maybe knocking them over, but he loves to be loved and would soon bond with any new owners.

Given the right direction and boost to his confidence he will be a lovely family member. I’m sure a new sister would also be an added bonus to help build his resilience to the outside world.
