Meet Mac a gorgeous young man who is sadly in need of a new home due to family members being allergic.
Mac currently lives with children of all ages and is happy in their company.
Mac also lives with a cat currently that he has grown up with since a pup. She is very confident and when Mac chases her she will stand her ground. If any new home has cats it will take time and patience for them to get on and sadly is not guaranteed.
Mac has never lived with another dog but is said to be playful and exciteable when he meets dogs out.
The volunteer was met by one grumble from Mac on his arrival he then moved in to check the volunteer out. No aggressipon and the voluteer felt normal behaviour for an adolescent gsd. He looks the part for the postman and delivery drivers who are unsure of him.
Mac can be left for a few hours but generally in his crate as he has been known to chew if left to his own devices.
When out and about he is good on a lead, interested in what is around him but controlable. He also has a good recall if there are no distractions. His recall becomes very selective when there are distractions. He is very interested in other dogs but will happily ignore humans when out and about.
The volunteer says..... Mac is a very normal 18month old GSD who wants attention and spome stretching or entertainment. He lives in a very busy household and has started grumbling at some people. He doesn't growl and he doesn't move towadrs he would grumbnle and retreat to his is confused sand pends far too much time in his crate (by cholice).
He really is a lovely boy who in the right home with more space and an active routine will thrive
