Gus has just turned one years old and sadly finds himself a victim of circumstance. His owner cannot look after him and feels that he needs a better life than can be offered.
The volunteer was met by a friendly dog who if not getting attention would jump up, but would sit if a treat was offered. He said G=us is a FANTASTIC dog who has a high prey drive. Although he has a soft maliable temperament he is quite dominant with his owner. He has the basics.... sit, down, stay and he has a recall for a treat or a toy. He is getting to an age where he is starting to push his boundaries. Although pushy he doesn't show signs of aggression but will bark for attention.
He can be reactive when on a lead but easily controlled. He has been on group walks and has been fine, so work WILL need to be done on his socialisation
In all Gus is looking for an ACTIVE home, with someone who will work on his socialisation and heel work. He ois both treat and toy orientated so an easy train.
