Kane German Shepherd Dog
Kane was booked into the vets to be put to sleep.
Kane was acquired by someone calling himself a security guard, who had him for just a few days. The security guard couldn't get Kane to do what he wanted him to do, so he bought himself another one and booked Kane into the vets to be put to sleep! We made sure Kane never made that appointment.
Kane - handsome boy
Kane has obviously not been treated well, he is underweight and his coat is a complete mess being dirty and full of knots.
Kane sitting to have his picture taken.
Kane behaving beautifully so we could take his picture. He certainly looks as if he could do with a good wash and brush up.
Kane - underweight and generally neglected
Kane looks as if he has had a hard life and has probably been passed around from owner to owner. He doesn't look like he has been a much-loved pet.
Kane having a bath
Kane was in such a terrible state that the kennels had to bath and groom him. He was muzzled because his coat was so bad, they thought he might find grooming uncomfortable and object. He behaved impeccably and we think he feels much better for the ordeal.
This is what they had to cut out of his coat
Matted hair - 'like he was wearing a tight knitted jumper'
This is what the kennels have said: The poor man his coat is in such a mess, we don't think he has ever been brushed. We gave him a bath and realised that no way his coat could be brushed underneath his belly and at the back of the legs, around his ears tight mats. We would say it looks like he is wearing a tightly knitted jumper. Anyway, we had to clip him to rid of the knots and tangles, you see from the photos how tight they are. He is a nice dog he was playing ball with us in the arena yesterday during the clipping session although stressful for him he never tried to bite us or showed aggression we muzzled him as a precaution. He was vaccinated yesterday afternoon. He needs to put weight on. So big dog fantastic head, he must have had a hard life with the b****** that had him, we will sort him out.
Kane - needs a nice retirement home.
